Stainless Steel Car at the Heinz History Center

Stainless Steel Cars… No, NOT Deloreans and not Back to the Future, but more like Forward to the Past. We are at the Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1938 the Allegheny Ludlum Company collaborated with Ford Motor company to make six all Stainless Steel Cars to promote their business of making sheet metal Stainless Steel. These all stainless steel cars were driven around each for about 200,000 miles by salesmen to shows and buyers. Four of the cars are still in existence.  It is amazing to see how good the shape of this 1938 Ford sedan is. Please make all cars out of stainless steel! No paint needed. I can just see this car pulling an Airstream trailer.
