With apologies to Carol – WIP

in my post, the horrors of a strand based hair engine, I was lamenting my issues with the new fur solution and Carol said that I’d be able to figure it out. I didn’t think so, and said as much. Turns out that the issue was hierarchical and I sorta know how to avoid the issue, so…

Carol was right and I was wrong

#1 whoops

this is what happens when the strands are disassociated from the parent geometry

#2 ichi

#5 work in progress…

man, these renders are RAM intensive. but I have a solution for that as well...

  1. Oh my #5 and #8 just stole my attention!!
It’s good to be wrong sometimes, huh?
At least this wrong is actually good!!

We knew you could do it!

  2. How did you get the munged photo post again?

This time the first one didn’t have only one picture. Unless you are using drafts I have no idea how this is happening.

The version of the glamor pose, perfect!

  3. I applaud you for keeping those strands and finding a way. My friends used to crunch numbers to external hard drives for days. The computers were slower and less memorized. (I know)
You’d go to their house for dinner and, “What’s that noise?”
