Love ItLove It

What we lose in the wind

A moment please

the wind swirling around trees and

bushes

refusing to yield

refusing to stop.

A moment, please.

Each leaf

ripped form the nurturing

embrace of the parent unit

the beginning

ending

as it falls

blown by the wind

ever onward.

A moment…please?

Does the change release us?

each leaf

on a journey that lasts days

minutes

seconds

falling

always falling

A moment.

infinite and finite.

The last of the leafs

crashing tot he ground

with the roar of alion

and the whimper of a snail

to be heard no more.

      • Hahaha! With all my blessings, yes ?. But actually, your poem was saying the same thing ?. I love that line — a moment, please. Perhaps you should pen another poem with that title ?

        • I have several with the title A Moment Please. Just haven’t gotten that far back in my poetry archive. My all time favorite poetry titles, that I have used many times are:

“The last known painting of Skyler Blue”

          and

“Seven days journey in an open boat, in search of the sun.”

  1. Beautiful, artistic poem coming from such, most of the time, very down to earth person. I guess there is a poet in everyone of us. Thank you for sharing.
