Warwick paints historical Northland of New Zealand. We have a very large range of shades of green foliage. In fact it’s unique not found in many parts of the world.
A lot of people think that paintings should look like a photograph. How ever we don’t see like a camera does, we take in one of two points for recognition. The strength of the artist is observation by sight and by a sense of presence. You put in the vibes you feel.
Warwick has the Wairoa or Spirit of the forrest. In the New Zealand rainforest you can feel the plants and the trees growing and feel the sense of it all.
Awesome painting. Reminded me of coastal India . Virily should put up a button to unearth interesting articles like these.
Well, this is a nice surprise Pankaj. I would like that to happen too. I have never been to India although my neighbour goes once a year. I would love to see some photos of India.
Awesome watercolor painting. That is one medium I never tried… What you say about camera pictures and paintings is absolutely true. After, were there cameras in DaVinci’s or Monet’s or Renoir’s time… They painted and sculpted what they saw with great precision and emotions.
I like the picture just the way it is. It should not look like a picture. Because if it looks like losing the effect of art itself.
