Unknown Figure in the Landscape

This figure is the result of doodling. Somehow while doodling, I was thinking about landscape paintings from the  Late Renaissance to the 19th century.  Many of these paintings had figures in them  that seem to dot the landscape paintings.  Some  wealthy landowner commissioned the artist to  create such landscapes so that this owner can show the  friends and  acquaintances.   Needs to impress  them with such extensive   property. Ordered the  painter  to show some of these figures who live and toil on the property.   Just one of the many unknown beings on  the property of an oligarch.      This is a watercolor on paper.

  1. Another great watercolor. But at first I thought it was the stranger to whom the cowboy tipped his hat to as it looks a bit like a North American frontier lady complete with her bonnet. But being a lady on an estate is just as good. Your lines remain so elegant and simple. I wish I had the time to go back to drawing but as of late I concentrate on translation, writing and commenting here on Virily and crochet or knit or tat and any kind of needle and thread work.
