You said a goodbye

and I waved hands

palms uncertain

but fingers firm

tears on cheeks

and fears in heart

you are then gone

and my world is shaken to half

yet and still and yet

I am coming in for a landing and my heart is set on you

this landing is where I may revisit

you wherever you are gone

my life has been a search

for people, times and life

and I would do it again

if you do propel me in it

I know familiarity breeds contempt

so I would try a woo

after you have forgotten the wounds!
