THIS MAY…
When I saw the sky
some days ago
Like a halo
It was illuminated by golden clouds
As if the universe
was speaking to me…
Loveliness oh the loveliness
I beheld the atmosphere
that was thick with happiness
As though filtered through a sheet
of opalescent golden sands…
There must have been an angel
hovering over my dome
And the feeling
Oh the feeling inside me did roam
It was as the day
I first laid eyes on you…
My loveliness ooh my loveliness
Here in this May I have to say
You are gorgeousness
wrapped in a package with a bow
Like a silly song that sings
Your loveness does things to me
Just the thought of you
Inside
I feel good
I feel nice
I feel loved…
Oh my witty
Your smile can light up the city
From your demure
My eyes they remember the mood
It felt pure
It felt honest
It felt like light…
Before the month of May
has had it’s day
This May
May I say
Ring-a-ring
Ting-a-ling-a-ling
You’re lovelier
than the 1st of Spring…

It doesn’t matter where I am, when I hear the Girl from Ipanema then I feel like I am in an elevator…
Sometimes I struggle to choose which version is the best. Then there are those days when this one is especially good. Like floating, you know what I’m sayin.
If you have one song that suits you all the time, then you probably have a dull life…
Touche…I respectfully agree with my fellow artist.
that’s the problem with a national anthem- it is really too much to ask of a song to reflect the hearts of the populace all the time…
How wonderful and light this poem is. Love is in the air in the spring Bradley.
A lucky and lovely lady.
Love within can never be restrained. The first lady is love….like wisdom.
Absolutely, words of wisdom form the king of love himself. 🙂
Carol, you are way too kind. I’m still a student learning from the gifts such as yourselves.
Aww and you are kind as well my friend.
Thank you Jenna I’m trying not to blush, if I even know how to, lol.
Then what music rhythms will be the movements of these beautiful words?
My brother, if I may remind you that art is subjective.
Thank you for reminding me, and to let me appreciate your art by my subjective way, brother.
If I may relay,
She’s the personification of pleasantness
When I’m wilder like the oceans rough
She stirs my wells with gliss
Then sets me on a plain of gentleness
All I know is the moment by moment
I’m yet to discover who other but my lover…
Woohooo…
Now you even share your devotion to love in the frenzied atmosphere!
May I be the first to say Great Poem. It was heartfelt from the first word until the last.
Thank you Jenna. Its always good to hear from you.
