in a mad world
there is music
in cacophony sad
crow yelps
as heat grows
beak open
looking
for water drops
going out
in the punishing Sun
is a bad bad bad
yet birds fly
in search of food
particles
and drops
trying an awning
where they can
find shade
in urban landscape
casualties
would be there
and no one would know!
As soon as the tropical heat returns to my part of Florida I know where I’ll be. Knee deep in the Atlantic Ocean at the beach.
