An abstract image inspired by travel and the perils of journeys crossing dark oceans with strange undiscovered creatures possibly waiting there. The sky full of storms and dangerous weather. Can you imagine how sailors felt long ago setting off on long journeys. We take a lot for granted when it comes to travel that a couple of hundred years ago was all very new. This image was painted with acrylic ink on art paper. I have found this the best medium for getting my ideas and emotions down on paper in colour. I don’t know of any other artist painting in the style that I use.
