He is, of course, riffing off Nietzsche but the distinction is important- because even if we survive something which cripples us in some way, are we truly strengthened by the experience?

I've always loved that quote, which is an excellent observation for a dystopian society. The graphic seems to support the sentiment without being too disturbing

The text and font are nice but I wish now that I'd thrown in a drop shadow for increased legibility...
