A program entitled Art Encounters displays sculptures and artwork throughout our local community. The sculpture pictured below was displayed outside our local recreation center a few years ago. Art Encounters brings in new artwork and updates the displays each year. The sculpture pictured below was created by Richard Mertineit and is titled “Petal Metal”. While researching about the sculptor, I came across this video where he briefly describes his artistic process.
