Colorful Bear in the Grass is an acrylic painting on a 24×36 inch gallery wrapped canvas.
This painting was inspired by a desire to mix both realism and impressionism into one real-impressionistic genre. I love the look of realistic animal paintings but I thought it would be fun to try something new that really catches the eye of the beholder. The texture of the thick brush strokes guides the eye around the whole body of the bear.
Bears, as I have said before, are amazing animals. Any time I get to see a bear in the wild is simply a pleasure. I hope to continue to inspire people to remember the natural beauty of the world but this time with a colorful twist. The sides of the painting are painted a light blue that matches the background.
