Mule Deer in the Prairies is an acrylic painting on a 16×20 inch canvas.
The deer is based off a photo my dad took last winter. There are some beautiful Mule Bucks around where we live. The background represents Southern Alberta with prairie hills moving into what could be the foothills before the Rocky Mountains.
This isn’t the first deer I have painted, “Mule Deer in the Brush” was the first. I was hoping to be able to make this one come to life as the other did and it didn’t disappoint.
