mo ippan kitsune – WIP

Kitsune masks are very popular in Japan, but they seem redundant to me… Why not show up dressed normally but with a fox tail peeking out from under your kimono? That would be a way better costume!

#1 work in progress

The kitsune are those infamous shape shifting fox spirits from Japan. They may not be downright evil, but they're mischievous and delight in tricking humans

  1. The only thing I knew about kitsune before reading your viril (except that they have magical powers which seems self-evident) was that it is the name of a very nice restaurant in Chicago…unless you count Sonic the Hedgehog’s friend Tails.

#2 brushstroke

I like the tail because it reminds me of an inverted calligraphy brush

    • Wordgirl is basically a Superman parody that ran on PBS Kids from 2007-2015. Thanks to Dorothea Gillim who created the character based on her childhood, I was inspired to create the Lexicon Bandits who are identical twins Donna and Debi Isthmus who are her cousins and her close friend Isthmus “Panama” Squirrel who is billed as the History Nut.

  1. Love the pose of the kitsune.
Yes, fox spirits are famous in both jap and chinese culture …
but to chinese, they’re never good
and nice stroke there … (or is it a tail? I don’t think so)
