Making of a Fairy

Here is my process of making a fairy photo. I have a model pose with one foot up then the other. I take a good photo of the body and arms. I find some butterfly wings or dragonfly wings and a good flower photo. Then the fun begins. I cut out all the pieces with Photoshop and paste them together as smoothly as possible. Then I add some adjustment layers to adjust the colors and blend the background more smoothly with the foreground. I also like to add some grunge layers to make the photo look older and warn. Usually I add some fairy dust sparkles as well, but I didn’t do that with this one. I make these for a fee for people who want their children captured in a fun and memorable way. Some use them for gifts for Mother’s Day or Christmas, etc. or just for themselves.
