     • My father had a wall-sized painting that he gave to me. I always loved the artwork. My mother was very happy to give it to me. I asked her after I hung it in the guest room, why? She said the artwork gave her nightmares. Then she came to say and I had to take it down for a weekend!

         • I do still have it, and I will post a snap if I remember to take it! The artist was a teacher that later lost his connection with reality. He was an English teacher in Chicago, spent the last 30 years of his life in the Illinois Prison for the Criminally Insane.

           Now, if that isn’t a vignette for an Alex artwork….

4. I am sorry to say I never really followed or adhered to Chinese New Year. I know I am a horse according to Chinese mythology but that is about it. Great decoration there that you drew up I presume?

5. I don’t live too far away from one of the Oriental communities in Chicago where parades are being held this weekend. Depending on the weather I hope to attend.

   • the dragon is cool, but I prefer the lions

     • The neighborhood where the parade will be is ethnically Vietnamese. I don’t know what differences there will be between them and the ethnic Chinese.
