This is another poem I wrote for my self published book. I hope you all enjoy!
Let’s Sail Away
Come
to me in the night,
and lets sail away,
To where the sun shines
brighter,
and it doesn’t
go down
for days
There
will be love,
and there
will be us
You and I,
Hearts
as one
Will you awaken
by my side,
and whisper
in my ear
Words
so soft and gentle
That
no one else could
hear?
We’ll
float above
the clouds
straight
up to the ninth
we won’t
come
down
for hours
not until the sun is out of sight
The streets
will be filled
with life,
and the sky will turn into a sunset;
Fire golden
hue
and love will be in the air
If I said something
wrong
and it made
you upset,
would
you let me in,
and forgive
me?
Let’s
leave
this broken
night,
and together
find a place
where
there
is healing
There
we will find love
and we will sail off into the sunset….
