The Jewel Box Watercolor

In actuality these are silk flowers I painted from and the box is a jewel box my brother made for me in wood shop when he was in high school.  It is a treasure of mine so it seemed only natural to want to paint it in a still life.  I like the deep rich colors I got with this painting and I love the wrinkled paper effect.  However I felt later that the reds were too deep and rich and looked out of place, even fake.  I should have toned it down a bit to make it more believable.
