January 2020 Art Reception

Saturday, January 11, 2020

It was a long day. At around 11 am, I went to an Online Trading Orientation about Trading and Investing. After three hours, I signed up for the 3-day workshop in January. Sitting for three hours was tiring, even though we had a lunch break. Then, I drove to South Coast Plaza area for an art reception. I parked my car and realized I was early. So, I walked in the area to check out what’s playing at the Regency Theater. Bolshoi Ballet’s Giselle will be playing this month. I think they had Bolshoi Ballet’s Nutcracker in December but I missed it because I forgot—it was always raining and I got into the movie meetups. Then, I walked to the temporary location of the OCMA and browsed through the art. I returned to the art gallery at 5 pm and noticed it was starting to fill up. I did two videos. I ran into some familiar faces.

After eating some snacks, I picked up a red fortune cookie. My fortune states “Don’t be afraid to smile, you never know who’s falling in love with it.”  After walking around in the art gallery and doing the second video, I noticed there was one fortune cookie left. So, I decided to take another one for fun. The second fortune message states “You are one sweet and smart cookie.” These fortune cookies are entertaining.

I was getting tired from sitting or walking since 11 am. So, I decided to leave around 6:30pm. I checked my iPhone to see how much I walked today. I did 4,800 steps, 1 floor, and 1.8 miles.

I used my wide-angle clip-on lens for this second video, and I just walked around recording the social activity, party, and mingling.
