is so beautiful and full
that I am scared to touch her
yet she cried again
bitter sobs of a period long gone by
by my shoulders
clinging to my chest
I upturned her face
healing her wounds by
kisses and pats
the moon is the witness
so are the dark wisps of clouds

between us
