The single line is used to formulate a figure where the heart is seen or touched upon in the composition of the figure. The single line expresses the heart as a linear note. While working on this composition, the Buddy Holly song of the Heartbeat suddenly creeps in and the image is then given its title. It sort of fits within everything. This is an acrylic on canvas painting. About 30 x 20 inches or so.
