Forbidden City Sprite Comic

I’ve posted about this … but I didn’t carry on posting because … well, I’m too lazy to solve the problem of the text being too small after Virily resized the image.

But of course there are other reasons I didn’t want this out – there are lots of flaws in the art and probably story.

I’ve posted some parts of this online few years back but seems it’s not something many people like, also a critique site gave it a bad review. I stop posting it then.

However, I recently thought, since I finished this story – this is the very rare few comic that I completed. I started a few such projects but end up not completing most of them. This is the rare one. Though I’m not very proud of it, I feel like just finishing the story instead of leaving it hanging there.

Perhaps I picked the wrong story to create because this is a sequel to one of my fanfiction, and it may seem that some couldn’t understand the link between the characters. Anyway, now before you start reading (if you are interested), I’ll fill you in with a summary of the prequel.

Backgroud (of the prequel): Forbidden City during Qian Long’s Reign

Back then, when Emperor Qian Long is old, in his late years, he was vexing over who to choose as the next king. He has about few choices.

Yong Yan (who is the current king in this sprite comic) is one of them. Yong Yan has a wife, Fu Zhen. She had done many things behind Yong Yan to help him become the emperor. However, the day he was appointed King, Yong Yan banished Fu Zhen to the “cold palace” (a place for the abandoned). He had actually know of everything she had done but kept quiet, whether or not he was making use of her, is up to you to decide…

This sprite comic took place during JiaQing (Yong Yan)’s reign.
