five toes

similarly placed

two eyes

looking same

two ears

also looking same

why did God

create thus

a man and a dame;

imagine if all fingers

were same and same

for toes how

would a humanity

would have behaved

my nephew glibly said

shoes would have been square

and your slaps would have stung more
