weary and tired
machine ruthlessly chugging away
tears slipped on flushed cheeks
after all it was just taking a body away
but then there was a bond of habit
cohabiting and sharing the day
it was torn like a scissor worked
the moments that we are apart
from a social grouping
our memories work
probing the parts
that the absent worked
when in morning you wake up
the warm cuppa is amiss
later on scones
and worked eggs are all gone
where she might be
and what she might be eating
are the thoughts
then across the tumbler
of water that you fetch
yourself
you realize what is love
all resources
and property shared
now you are so alone!
