The night stirred

a hornet’s nest

so many ideas

all agog and gnawing

feverish

agitated

was mind

awoke

to a fresh cool

wind

with eyes bleary yet

sleep would not go

and laid on bed

routine lived

and alcohol in hand

answers

still not in

mysteries

piled

dusk

reigned in my heart!
