this heat is turbulent

I had walked

lifted weights

moved

in searing Sun

all water had flow

aerial route

vanishing in thin air

now I was parched

soggy was my shirt

so starched

throat rasped

and limbs grew weak

in urban landscape

I felt like desert

then you came

with your lunch box

and took out

nature’s juice

I sank teeth

and relished each bit

wow! what a delight

what a relief

you saved me from a deadly heat!
