Paintdrips
I thought it was a fun concept when I drew this out. All the almond blossoms present a challenge but I didn’t think it would be impossible so I took the plunge. The little girl was from one photo and the almond orchard from another. In the end I began to hate the picture. The girl stands out but not her hair. The sky is too dark and begins to dominate the picture. The red pants are more engaging than the girls eyes, which should be the focal point. I ended up putting this painting away as a failure. Any suggestions on how to improve it?

I think she looks sad. Maybe it’s the coloring of her face?
I wonder if a bright hair ribbon would draw the attention back to her face?
