Black and white photography

The photo was originally black and white or still monochrome. Even after the color film has become easily accessible, black and white photography has continued to dominate for decades, due to its lower price and “classic” view. It is important to note that some monochrome pictures are not always black and white, but also contain other shades, depending on the process. The process based on the protein footprint used for the first time more than 150 years ago produces, for example, brown tones.

Many photographers continue to produce monochrome images. Some full-color digital images are processed using various techniques to create black and white images, and some manufacturers produce digital cameras to produce monochrome pictures. Monochrome images do not transmit the object directly and realistically, but are rather abstractions of reality, representing shades of gray.
