Love ItLove It

A Colourful Poem

Gone are the day of feeling Blue

Over a lost love

Who once told me he saw my Golden aura

And then ended up turning it pitch Black.

<a href="" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Source</a>

Never in my life will I allow

Someone’s Red aggression

To dominate my Pink heart

And turning my sky thunderous Grey.

<a href="" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Source</a>

Concentrating to build my Brown foundation

And growing my Green tree of Wisdom

Red Aggression will never

Dominate my life again.

<a href="" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Source</a>

Show me the Yellow of the sun

Happily shining down on me

While I grow in my Purple priesthood

Washing away all Scarlet wounds.

<a href="" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Source</a>

I wake up every morning

Grateful for the new day

New day new opportunities

While slowly working to turn my soul

Back to an innocent White.

  1. It is interesting that you play Red as aggression (I have always thought of red as anger I will have to reconsider that now). Brown as a base is interesting as well, reminded me of a tree, building low first then rising above the ground.

    Really great imagery.

    • Thank you Doc. I actually did some research on the meaning of colours and emotion. Red-orange corresponds to desire, sexual passion, pleasure, domination, aggression, and thirst for action. I think anger can also be associated with red.

  2. I really enjoyed this. I pen a lot of poetry. I especially enjoyed your use of the colors and images to invoke feeling – soooo interesting. Would love to read more.
