At the base of the Tybee Island Lighthouse bear Savannah, Georgia is the quaint building called the summer kitchen. Here the lighthouse keeper and family could cook during the summer and not overheat or endanger the lighthouse. At that time it had inflammable oil to light the lighthouse lamp.
