Jefferson's Cellar at Poplar Forest

Looking from the backside or South of Thomas Jefferson’s retreat Poplar Forest in Forest, Virginia, you can see the brick arches that lead into the basement or cellar.  Here was stored the wine and food and many of the servants lived that worked in the house.  Now there is a bronze statue of Jefferson.  Much has been restored but there is also a lot of original brick and structure of the mansion.
