This is the church in my town, San Benedetto Po, in north Italy. It is a large monastic buildings that has a church, three cloiseters and a great refectory.
It’s dated back 1007 and was funded by Tedaldo of Canossa, the paternal grandfather of Matilde of Canossa, an important figure during Middle Age.
It is also known as “Montecassino of the north” for her great library or “lombard Cluny”, since it followed the Gregorian reforms from Cluny.
This is a map of all the monastic complex you can see in Secolari Cloister, where i located the front door to the Polirone Civic Museum about farmers’ life, since San Benedetto Po always was a country village.
