Velcro dog finds a loving family at last

<a href="https://www.mnn.com/family/pets/stories/dog-returned-being-too-nice-finds-perfect-home" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Source</a>

If I have learned anything about dogs of both genders, it is that every dog is unique like all of human beings.

Case in point is the story of the orphaned dog named Helena who is four years of age was living in an animal shelter in Atlanta Georgia when one owner adopted her to be his watchdog.

Helena did not fit the desires of being a watchdog for her previous owner since she is “too nice” to everyone she meets which includes burglars.

I am sure the previous owner of Helena was heartbroken that he had to return Helena to the LifeLine Animal Project Shelter so she could be up for adoption once more.

I am sure the publicity of Helena’s story inspired a loving family to go the LifeLine Animal Project Shelter and adopt Helena who gained the nickname “Velcro dog” since she just love to be the center of attention from people who are near her.

I was so happy to learn that Helena who is an orphan has a loving family that will care for her for the rest of her life and bring joy to her new owners.

In all of the years I have been around dogs of both genders, I have yet to meet a dog that my relatives adopted who is too nice that he or she had to be returned to a animal shelter.

  1. If she’s the dog in the picture, Helena is adorable! To be honest, I can’t imagine returning a pet. I understand that the previous owners needed a watchdog, but still…

    • The dog in the image is Helena. She reminds me of my late grandmother’s dog who was originally named Ebony because she was Black. My late grandmother renamed her Beauty which is the translation from the Spanish word Belleza since my late grandmother lived in the country side of Panama.

    • My pleasure to share this sweet story of Helena finding a home at last. Helena reminds of my late grandmother’s dog named Beauty (nee Ebony) who would not a harm a fly.
