Like many jays, Steller’s jays have a number of different calls and they can even mimic other bird calls or sounds. Here are some of the sounds made by Steller’s jays. Not included is the loud, harsh, warning call.

We don’t see these beauties here, but I love hearing the calls. The blue jays around right now, very noisy but beautiful.
It is rare for us to go camping when we don’t hear and see Steller’s jays.
