Sun Down

As soon as the sun starts to go down, they start the march to the house. There are large pine trees to keep them sheltered and they gather closely to get warm. That is always a lead cow that is up and watching for trouble (here that means wolves).

We will probably have them here for about three more weeks and then they will have to move on to find more feed. I believe our winters would be very sad without the elk.

Would you like to see elk every day?
