MOVIE ENTERTAINMENT: ISLE OF DOGS
is a unique and very slick animation movie. The storyline is so original it will make your jaw drop! It originates from the Wes Anderson stable, who is famous for movies like The Royal Tenenbaums and The Grand Budapest Hotel, so you just know ISLE OF DOGS will be a seesaw ride of a brainteaser.
It’s a story about a Japanese boy, speaking only Japanese throughout the entire film, but here’s the real kicker, it actually works well in this film. He goes looking for his lost dog and in his search, he finds him on a mysterious island. It is a place which all pooches are banished to and where they all eventually die. The island is controlled by an evil ruler so, together they devise a plan to break the evil ruler’s control.
This animated movie features some incredible and eccentric animated characters, with more personality than the people in the movie. The animation and elaborate artwork are bound to leave you speechless, and the storyline buzzes with originality and uniqueness. Be warned though, it is absolutely only intended for lovers of art films.
Voice actors are Bryan Cranston, Koyu Rankin, Edward Norton, Bob Balaban, Bill Murray, Jeff Goldblum, Greta Gerwig, Frances McDormand, Scarlett Johansson, Harvey Keitel, F.Murray Abraham and Yoko Ono.
