Dude is one of my cats, the big black one to be specific. I am continuing with the 365 Photos Challenge and I am now on Day 96.
Photographing the Dude can be a challenge. I captured him playing around in the screen room with the shadows. After looking at the photos on my computer I decided to edit the photo in black and white. I think it is a good effect on him, you have to be creative when your subject is a black cat! What do you think?
He loves laying on the floor in the screen room listening to the birds. He will sneak up to the screen and start talking to them. He is hilarious to watch. Such fun entertainment! Both cats in my home are rescued. Black cats have a bad reputation of being bad luck. Some say if a black cat crosses your path it is bad luck. I do not for one second believe this. They are the last cats to be rescued, and too many are euthanized. It is heartbreaking. The Dude is like a big soft teddy bear. I cannot imagine life without him. I agree with Groucho Marx….

I don’t believe black cats are bad luck either, I’ve had several throughout my life, and they were great! The Black and White is a perfect for Dude, he’s a handsome cat!

The catch is that I am usually in a hurry to go the bathroom or front door and by accident step on the tail of Mumps or Relish. Mumps is female and Relish is male.
