Out of all the 40 houses in our particular complex, Ralph chose us to come and live with. He had a perfectly good house all of his own, with a human that had loved him and cared for him for more than 7 years. She was devastated when he chose to leave her and move in with us. (We did try to give him back – to no avail – he just kept coming back to our house.)

Eventually she moved on to greener pastures and Ralph became 100% ours.

I think the Gods were smiling on us that day!
