I have compiled a few of my photos of different types of birds enjoying Lake Ontario (Canada) during late-spring and early summer or fall. I enjoy taking photos of birds and since I have so many, I decided to share some here.
The lake is home to many species. There are about 495 species, according to Wikipedia. The ones in the photos are very popular species, nothing rare, but cute nonetheless.
Seagull grabbing a bite
Here is a seagull grabbing something out of the water. It might be food although I couldn't tell what the seagull caught.
Swan cleaning itself
Duck swimming to shore
Red-winged blackbird
These small birds (red-winged blackbirds) are very fast and tend to steal the food from other birds. They have pretty colors on their wings.
Canada Geese
The Canada goose is probably the most popular of birds on Lake Ontario. These birds are everywhere and they can be quite vicious when they sense food nearby. They are easy to photograph because they don't run or fly away easily.
They always find food in the water
Yes and when they don’t find something good they steal from ducks and other birds.
There’s nothing I can think of that’s more enjoying than watching birds at a lake
The picture is very amazing.
