Bird Behavious

This Sparrow is getting a huge telling off from a Blackbird. It’s all about who is boss, space and food. The Sparrows are quicker than the larger birds, but when push comes to shove, the Blackbird is larger and bigger.

I have set up some bird feeders by just using old plastic milk bottles. The seed or crumbs or discarded bread goes in these and also they pick out fruit. The Black birds prefer the fruit, but they also eat slugs and snails.

I’ve seen a Sparrow get a Cicada in mid air, never underestimate a Sparrow!

  1. I love watching and feeding the birds. I got that from my Mom and Dad. We used to make our own feeders like you described, but now we and now I have those store bought ones. I have a barn, church, cabin, and a cottage that the birds can sit at and eat.
