10 Cute Baby Animals That You Haven’t Seen Before!

These little cubs are part of the dog family. Coyottes are able to adapt to different surroundings. Some can live very close to big cities. In size, they are similar to middle growth  domestic dogs.

The name hippopotamus means 'river horse' and is often shortened to hippo. At birth, the baby, called a calf, is a whopping 23 to 50 kg. When it dives, the calf closes its nose and ears to block out water. A baby hedgehog is called a hoglet. When they are born their spikes are soft and short. Soon after birth, their spines harden. When they are 3 weeks old, their spines are effective and they can safely follow their mother outside . They are known as being garden keepers. They will eat beetles and cause no harm at all.

These cute cubs are born with spots on their back, which disappear as they grow up. Their eyes color changes from blue to yellow.The mother teaches her cubs to hunt and  survive. by 18 months they are ready to live on their own and explore the world.

The fennec fox is the smallest fox that exists. It weights only one kilogram. But it is known for its enormous ears, which measure 15 centimeters. These help them cool and doesn't let them overheat in the hot deserts. They hear so well that they can hear the prey under the surface of the ground.

Opossums live in forests and near farms. They are active through the night. During the day, they will be hidden somewhere safe.  Mother opposum can have 25 babies at once. They are size of a small bean. Babies hide in their mother's pouch for two months.
